01/04/2020 2nd annual Base & Meridian Wildlife Area winter Cleanup

For our first cleanup of 2020, we teamed up with our friends at REI and Arizona Game & Fish for a morning of stewardship and fun at the Tres Rios Base & Meridian Wildlife Area Cleanup. Thank you to 249 volunteers, including 64 youth volunteers, for Opting Outside and leaving a positive impact on the confluence of the Gila & Salt River. Together, we removed 1,100 pounds of trash and 38 tires! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped us make a significant impact!

Thank you to everyone at Dumpsters.com for donating the dumpster and disposal fees! Thank you Arizona Game & Fish for donating portable bathrooms & hand washing station! Thank you to everyone at Raising Cane’s in Avondale for donating 400 chicken fingers and dipping sauce to our hard working volunteers! And thank you to Bob Bruce from REI’s Goodyear Distribution Center for picking everything up from Raising Cane’s and brining it out to the river for everyone to enjoy!
