Natural Restorations and Friends of the Tonto National Forest hosted a Lower Salt River Land & Water Cleanup Event at Coon Bluff Recreation Area on Saturday, February 17, 2018. More than 250 volunteers, including 73 volunteers under the age of 18 years old, helped us remove 3.2 tons of trash from the Salt River! That's 6,400 pounds!
Thank you to all of the volunteers for working so hard to make a significant impact on the Lower Salt River! Thank you Republic Services for donating the dumpster!⠀

We would like to thank everyone from Salt River Wild Horse Management Group (SRWHMG) for their hard work! Not only did the SRWHMG remove trash from Pebble Beach, they also helped the Forest Service by painting over graffiti painted on the bridge columns at Pebble Beach, and they picked up trash and nails from pallet fires in Bulldog Canyon. Huge thanks to the Mesa Ranger District for providing them will all of the supplies they needed for the project.
