10/19/19 3rd Annual Lower Sycamore OHV Area Cleanup
We hosted our 3rd Annual Lower Sycamore Fall Cleanup on Saturday, October 19,2019. With the help of 115 volunteers and several employees from the Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District, we removed 5.61 tons of trash and 3 tires from this OHV area. That’s 11,220 pounds of trash no longer littering our public lands! Thank you to all of the volunteers for helping us make a significant impact on this area!
This project was financed in part by a grant from the Arizona Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Recreation Fund administered by Arizona State Parks & Trails. Learn more about our grant HERE. RideNow Powersports in Chandler was also an Event Sponsor.
We would like to thank the following organizations for their support of this event:
Battle Born Offroad, the Brewbecue, CopperPoint Insurance Companies, Desert Monsters Tours, Extreme Terrain, Garland Signs & Specialties, Icon Alloys, ICON Vehicle Dynamics, Illuminated Funds Group, J. Bowers & Associates, Knuckle Busters, LeBaron & Carroll Insurance, Manatee Bags, Meta Tech 4X4, Mr. Target, Nitro Gear & Axle, OdySea Aquarium Foundation, Salt River Project, Sierra Expeditions, Tru Flask, the U.S. Forest Service - Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District, and Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative.

Thank you to everyone at Extreme Terrain for awarding us a $250 Clean Trail Grant that we used to purchase trash grabbers from the Home Depot at a discount thanks to Bob and his team at the Home Depot in Mesa off of the US60 & Crismon. Last year, Extreme Terrain awarded us a Clean Trail Grant that we used to purchase rakes for volunteer events.
