10/20/18 2nd annual lower sycamore fall Cleanup
tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District
Natural Restorations hosted our 2nd Annual Lower Sycamore Fall Cleanup on Saturday, October 20, 2018. With the help of 113 volunteers and several employees from the Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District, we removed 7.38 tons of trash and 12 tires from this area. That’s 14,760 pounds of trash no longer littering our public lands! Thank you to all of the volunteers for helping us make a significant impact on this area!
We would also like to thank the Event Sponsors for their help in making this event possible: RideNow Power Sports, Desert Rat Off Road Centers, Extreme Terrain, 4 Wheel Parts, and Knuckle Busters.
This project was also possible due to support from CopperPoint Insurance, Desert Monsters Tours, Frys Food Stores, The Home Depot in NE Mesa off Power & McKellips, LeBaron & Carroll LLC, OdySea Aquarium Foundation, and SRP. We would also like to thank everyone from the Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District for all of their help and support.⠀

Raffle Winners! Huge thanks to RideNow Power Sports, Desert Rat Off Road Centers, Extreme Terrain, and Knuckle Busters for providing us with awesome prizes for volunteers. We know volunteers don’t attend our events for prizes, it’s just a nice way to help show them how much local organizations and the community appreciate their hard work. We also gave out some Natural Restorations t-shirts.
Thank you to everyone at Extreme Terrain for awarding us a $250 Clean Trail Grant that we used to purchase 25 rakes from the Home Depot at a discount thanks to Bob and his team at the Home Depot in Mesa off of the US60 & Crismon. Thank you Matt and his team at the Home Depot in Mesa off McKellips & Power Road for donating gloves and 5-gallon Homer buckets.
