11/04/18 Water Users Recreation Area - Lower Salt River
with Delta Sigma Pi from ASU's W.P. Carey School of Business
We teamed up for the second time with members of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity at ASU, to bring a group out to the Lower Salt River for a cleanup at Water Users Recreation Area on Sunday, November 4th, 2018.
Between 17 of us, we removed 176.5 pounds of trash from the Tonto National Forest in two hours. We removed a lot of micro-trash, fishing line, clothing, shoes, plastic and glass bottles, broken glass, food wrappers, tons of Capri Sun packs and straws, beer and soda cans, a camp chair, a pallet, and much more.
We would like to thank American Rivers, CopperPoint Insurance Companies, Desert Monsters Tours, LeBaron & Carroll Insurance, OdySea Aquarium Foundation, Salt River Project, and the U.S. Forest Service Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District for supporting our program so we can host projects like this. ⠀
