Late June 2022 OHV Area Restoration Near Ashfork on the Kaibab National Forest
In late June, our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 13,780 pounds (6.89 tons) of trash from the OHV trails near Ashfork on the Kaibab National Forest.

On Saturday, July 9th, we teamed up with Salt River Wild Horse Management Group to host a Lower Salt River Cleanup in Memory of Tangua, a beautiful & spirited young stallion who perished in May 2022 after ingesting plastic debris.

In April, our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 2.42 tons (4,840 pounds) of trash, removed & recycled 3 tires, & removed 171 square feet of graffiti from Lower Sycamore OHV Area on the Tonto National Forest.

Rainbow Valley OHV Area Restoration Project
In March, our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 18,200 pounds (9.1 tons) of trash and removed & recycled 130 tires from the Rainbow Valley OHV Area on Arizona State Trust Land.

March 2022 Lower Sycamore Restoration Project
In March, our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 4.24 tons (8,480 pounds) of trash, removed & recycled 5 tires, and removed 109 square feet of graffiti from Lower Sycamore OHV Area on the Tonto National Forest.

Lower Sycamore Bush Fire Burn Scar Replanting with AZ 4Runner Outsiders
We teamed up with our friends from AZ4Runner Outsiders for a Bush Fire Replanting at Lower Sycamore.
We planted 47 native desert saguaro, ocotillo, fishhook barrel, chain fruit cholla and beehives in the 2020 Bush Fire burn scar on the Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District. The saguaros and barrels planted were some of the largest we've collected so they took most of our time to replant.

04/02/22 AZ Public Land Day Camp Creek Wash Cleanup
In celebration of Arizona Public Lands Day and to kick off Earth Month, we teamed up with our friends from Arizona Adventure Group to help the Tonto National Forest - Cave Creek District with a trash cleanup at Camp Creek Wash. Volunteers helped us remove 2,940 pounds of trash & debris, that’s 1.47 tons of trash removed!

04/09/22 Lower Sycamore Spring Cleanup
We hosted our annual Lower Sycamore Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 9th, 2022. With the help of 42 volunteers, including 7 youth volunteers and our 5-member Dedicated Restoration Team, we removed 2.01 tons of trash and 13 tires from this OHV area. That’s 4,020 pounds of trash no longer littering our public lands!

7th Annual Earth Day Cleanup
Thanks again to all of the volunteers who joined us for our 7th annual Earth Day Cleanup at the Lower Salt River! 375 volunteers, including 21 youth volunteers, helped us remove 1,620 pounds of trash!
Volunteers started at Phon D Sutton Rec Area removing trash from the river, riverbanks, trails, picnic areas, & parking lots. Volunteers more familiar with the river headed upriver to pick up trash from Water Users, Pebble Beach, Blue Point, & Coon Bluff Rec Areas, & a group of volunteers went downriver to Granite Reef.

Earth Day Land & Water Cleanup with Phoenix Suns & Footprint
In celebration of Earth Day, we teamed up with the the Phoenix Suns and Footprint on April 19th for a Land & Water Cleanup of Butcher Jones Recreation Area and Saguaro Lake on the Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District. Volunteers helped us remove 282.70 pounds of trash!

Bush Fire Replanting Project
We are honored to be the first grantee of the Overland Expo Foundation. Through our Overland Expo Foundation grant, we completed two weeks of replanting projects at Four Peaks and Lower Sycamore and hosted a volunteer replanting event at Four Peaks. We collected and saved 672 cacti from destruction and replanted 656 cacti in the 2020 Bush Fire burn scar.
