Check out all of the photos & videos from this project HERE.

In May, our Dedicated Restoration Team, along with the Tonto National Forest Service - Mesa Ranger District and three volunteers helped us remove 9 trash sites, including an abandoned squatter camp, off of Power Road near the Lower Salt River in Mesa on the Tonto National Forest.

We removed 8,460 pounds of trash from this area, that's 4.23 tons of trash no longer littering the Tonto National Forest! Please note, all of the sites in this project area were abandoned; we do not take on projects where people are actively living.

We would like to thank everyone at Republic Services for sponsoring this project. They donated two 40-yard dumpsters to help us remove the trash from 9 different dump sites in this area.

Devils.png

Graffiti that could be seen from your vehicle as you drive through the canyon and what you could see when you stopped at all of the pull-off areas east of Queen Creek Tunnel is something we’ve dreamed of removing long before Natural Restorations existed.

This project has been on our graffiti removal bucket list for a long time and we are grateful to the organizations that made this project possible: ON Semiconductor, REI Co-op, and Resolution Copper. Thank you to for helping us remove 1,744 sq ft of graffiti!

April 6th is Arizona Gives Day, a day to invest in Arizona & help support our mission to remove trash and graffiti from outdoor spaces, revitalize natural areas through replanting projects, and enrich the lives of Military Veterans & other community members.⠀

If you are not in a position to make a monetary donation, we would like to ask you to consider giving back to Arizona another way. Go for a walk in your neighborhood to get some fresh air sometime this week, take a trash bag & gloves (grabbers if you have them) & pick up any trash you see along the way. Not only will your neighborhood look better, you will feel great because you made an immediate, visible impact and you may inspire others to do the same. ⠀

We spend a lot of time picking up trash in outdoor recreation & wilderness areas & sometimes overlook our neighborhoods. Take a photo & tag us, we'd love to see you giving back to Arizona. ⠀

If you would like to make a donation, we would be grateful for your support! You can donate to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on our website, click HERE.
